The Oyamada's (Japanese Crime Family/Mafia)

Chris: I, Chris Rebel, promise to do what i can and be loyal and active if the Oyamada Faction will be scripted and i promise to be a good asset to the Community

Ranks explained:
The guiding principle of the oyamada structure is the oyabun-kobun relationship. Oyabun literally means "father role"; kobun means "child role." When a man is accepted into the oyamada, he must accept this relationship. He must promise unquestioning loyalty and obedience to his boss. The oyabun, like any good father, is obliged to provide protection and good counsel to his children. However, as the old Japanese saying states, "If your boss says the passing crow is white, then you must agree." As the oyamada put it, a kobun must be willing to be a teppodama (bullet) for his oyabun.

The levels of management within the oyamada structure are much more complex than the Mafia's. Immediately under the kumicho (supreme boss) are the saiko komon (senior adviser) and the so-honbucho (headquarters chief). The wakagashira (number-two man) is a regional boss responsible for governing many gangs; he is assisted by the fuku-honbucho, who is responsible for several gangs of his own. A lesser regional boss is a shateigashira, and he commonly has a shateigashira-hosa to assist him. A typical oyamada crime family will also have dozens of shatei (younger brothers) and many wakashu (junior leaders).

Note:: The Oyamada Faction is a really Serious RP Faction enabling to join in the Oyamada a applicant must 1st be on trial as a Gaijin for 1 week then the Oyabun decide's if the Gaijin is worthy enough or has done enough for the Oyamada's.

Rank Ladder

Rank 1 :: Kobun
a. Gaijin
A man showing interest in Oyamada membership. He is not an actual Yakuza member until he celebrates his initiation with an Oyabun. Gaijin literally means outsider, which is exactly what this person is until proven otherwise.

b. Kobun
Once the Oyabun has decided to accept the Gaijin (meaning Outsider), the said Gaijin becomes a Kobun. During this rank, the Kobun will undergo training to learn to RP like a Oyamada. He will be taught Oyamada etiquette and basic war strategies. To become a Kobun, there must be an initiation between the Oyabun (or someone representing him) and the Kobun. See this initiation stage at the bottom of this post.

c. Suji
The Suji is an Enforcer. He acts as a "senior Kobun", now recognized to have finalized his Kobun training, able to serve the Oyamada's Oyabun well and with coordination with his Suji counterparts.

Rank 2 :: Shateigashira

a. Shateigashira
The Shateigashia make up the bulk of the Oyamada's force. Basic foot-soldiers able for battle and with the smarts to aid in the economic Oyamada's cause. From this point on, the only way to rank up is to demonstrate excellent RP ability and to be useful.

b. Masurao
Masurao are recognized Shateigashira warriors. Having demonstrated enough skill that could prove useful in battle (should there ever be one), Masurao commandeers respect among the Shateigashira members.

c. Senzoku
Senzoku are weapon specialist. Equal in ranking with Masuraro, Senzoku had decided to specialize in a certain weapon, should it be a Desert Eagle, M4 riffle or even the Katana.

Rank 3 :: Wakagashira

a. Shikaku
Shikaku are assassins. The Oyamada's specialist hitmen, there when needed for a quick hit. They have the experience to get the job done, and rarely fail in their objectives.

b. Wakagashira
Now a made-man, the Wakagashira is fully recognized as a true Oyamada member. Commandeering great respect among the lower ranks, the fully Oyamada now participates fully in the Oyamada economic objectives.

c. Shoui
The Shoui is a Lieutenant. The Lieutenant is a semi-boss for the Wakagashira ranks, in charge of a small contingent of Kobun and Shateigashira.

Rank 4 :: So-Honbucho

a.Kan Senshi
Elite soldiers are the best warriors there are. They have proven themselves to the family in the past. They can handle any assignment given by the Oyabun.

b. Fuku-Honbucho
The Fuku-Honbucho is the Secretary of War. He is the Head of War when said Head of War (usually a General) is not present. In the case when the Head of War is present, the Secretary of War acts as an active assistant for him. The Secretary of War also acts as a relations manager.

c. So-Honbucho
The So-Honbucho is the Head of War. He is a Captain among all Oyamada's. Directly tied with the Oyabun(s), he acts as a military leader for the organization, having shown outstanding leadership and military genius. He is among the most respected men in the Oyamada, even at the Oyabun's eyes.

Rank 5 :: Sako-Komon
a. Sako-Komon
The Sako-Komon is the Oyabun's senior adviser. Acting as the Oyamada's military General, he coordinates with the Head of War to oversee Kobun progress, training and possible promotions.

b. Kante
The Kante acts a direct bodyguard for an assigned Oyabun. Always present and close to him (except for Oyabun meetings), the Kante is considered to be extremely respected among the Oyamada organization, having achieved a rank allowing him to stay close to the Oyabun, at all times. The Kante's responsibility is simple - make sure the Oyabun stays safe, at any and all given time or location.

Rank 6 :: Oyabun
a. Oyabun
The Oyabun is a Oyamada leader or co-leader. During the absence of a Kumicho, the Oyabun is the uncontested leader of the Oyamada. His word goes, no matter what it is.

b. Kumicho
The Kumicho is the supreme Oyamada boss. His word is final in all decisions as he coordinates with his Oyabun (second in command if Kumicho is present), and is the highest executive decision-maker. His word, along with the Oyabun's, is final.

Initiation

A successful candidate for admission into the Mafia must participate in a ceremony where his trigger finger is pricked and the blood smeared on the picture of a saint, which is then set on fire and must burn in the initiateís hands as he swears his loyalty to the family. In the oyamada initiation ceremony, the blood is symbolized by sake (rice wine). The oyabun and the initiate sit face-to-face as their sake is prepared by azukarinin (guarantors). The sake is mixed with salt and fish scales, and then carefully poured into cups. The oyabunís cup is filled to the brim, befitting his status; the initiate gets much less. They drink a bit, and then exchange cups, and each drinks from the otherís cup. The kobun has then sealed his commitment to the family. From that moment on, even the kobunís wife and children must take a backseat to his obligations to his oyamada family.

The Oyamada Family Rules

This is a set of rules mainly for Kobuns. It is every's Kobun first task: learn it.

NOTE: A "Deagle" is a divine weapon for the Oyamada's symbol of Courage and Faith, YOU MUST NOT CARRY A DEAGLE WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM Ranks 5+.

1. Always keep your Role Play conversations to an professional level. We are a educated family. Use proper grammar and clear sentences.

2. In any Role Play situation, where outsiders* are present, show great respect towards any higher ranks than you. Also when you are next to Oyabuns act as you would be next to a God. This is what would mean IRL, in a real Oyamada.

3. When ever you meet an outsider introduce you with your fake name and also just as an "business man".

4. You must report immediatley any mistakes another member does. Do not take actions on yourself.

5. You must report immediatley any changes you notice in others gangs stats towars us. Do not take actions on yourself.

6. You may only carry a Deagle when you are in a Rank 3+'s company. Also you are allowed to carry any other guns only at a leader's request.

7. You are forbidden to pass in by other's gangs official turf areas. You may only ignore this rule when you have to do your IG job. But only the job: you do it, you get out of there quick, struggle to NOT attract attention on you.

8. Try and do everything acompanied by another member. Find members that have the same habbits as you have and stick together.

9. Don't miss any opportunity to stick together with a high rank, just to learn from they. Ask them OOC if you can join them: I'm sure they will be happy to take care of you.

10. Whenever a high rank is calling you, you answear as soon as possible. You must agree and take action at every high rank's request.

11. Concept by Chris Rebel ;;
The Oyamada leading principle is the 'white crow' one. When near an Oyabun, one Oyamada does not question his or her Oyabun's authority. The principle states that if your boss tells you the passing crow is white, you must agree, undefined. This encompasses all other situations, wherein the questioning of leadership is and remains nonexistent. A man swears oath and allegiance towards his Oyabun. Said man must prove this allegiance with actions rather than words, in any and all given situations or locations.
